What is wwe over the edge 1998?

WWE Over the Edge 1998 was a pay-per-view event produced by WWE (then known as WWF) which took place on May 31st, 1998 at the Wisconsin Center Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The event was remembered for a tragic incident that happened during the main event match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and WWF World Champion, The Undertaker. During the match, Austin was thrown into the turnbuckle and his head hit the metal plate used to secure the ropes. This caused him to suffer a concussion and internal bleeding.

Despite being seriously injured, Austin continued with the match and won by disqualification after interference from Kane. WWF officials reportedly considered ending the match early, but ultimately decided to let it continue.

After the event, Austin was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery to repair his injuries. The incident led to changes in WWE's safety policies, including the mandatory use of padded turnbuckles.

The event also featured other memorable matches, including The Rock vs. Faarooq for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, and a tag team match between New Age Outlaws and LOD 2000.
